  Jehovah`s Witnesses have always declared themselves as fearless proclaimers of Gods truths .....Then why....?

  then why are they so silent , in comparison with the roman catholic church of christendom , who they have criticised time and time again in their 100+ years of existance , their is very little, if nothing at all about the other two faiths with a common background .

  namely islam and it`s various sects , and judaism , with it`s various sects .. how often, if at all, has the watchtower done an expose of islam, and it`s many sects , using the quran/bible proving the prophet mohammed is a false prophet .could it be they are afraid of the backlash it would unleash ?

  how fearless are they really ?.

  now that i've been away from the cult going on 4 years, one huge absurdity that sticks out in my mind is that we were doing things out of service to an invisible king.

  let me repeat an invisible king, whose only proof that he existed was through a global public relations magazine distribution campaign.

  no visible show of this king's sovreignty, no activity by this king to act on his campaign platform.

  Another thing too in hindsight that I find completely retarded is the encouragement to "make Jehovah real." How are you going to make someone real? They either exist or they don't but you can't make them exist any more than you can make exist the Lochness Monster. C'mon!!!

  What absurdities stand out to you now that you've left the MADNESS??

  One fairly recent event has me looking at the blood policy doctrine differently. I've got a significantly older and ill relative who I don't expect to live that much longer after being discharged from the hospital a few months back. She had been ill for about a month prior to the paramedics taking her to the ER where she was admitted and surgery was performed the following morning. She had been nauseous, vomiting, complaining of stomach woes, etc.. The day the paramedics came, she had been vomiting a green bile that smelled like excrement from what was relayed to me. So they did a CT Scan on her and discovered that not all was well in her intestines as it appeared one was crimped shut. After opening her the surgeons discovered a cancer mass which they were able to remove and she now has a colonoscopy bag. At her age they prefer her to remain with the bag rather than attempting to seal the intestine as there's the possibility of a leak and at her age that could prove to be fatal considering the increased possibility of an infection.

  Here's the part that has me viewing the blood policy differently. I've never been able to wrap my head around the no blood doctrine as it's apples and oranges comparing blood transfusions in the modern age to the dietary prohibitions of first century Christians. After waking up and realizing that this religion has a lot of things wrong, I viewed the no blood doctrine as the WT overstepping their boundaries and creating dangerous situations that need not be for individual JWs and their families. After this most recent even with my relative however, I now view the no blood doctrine as one of the stupidest thing I've ever been privy to, and here's why. I visited my relative in the ER and hung out for a couple hours. One of the surgeons came back to tell all of us what they wanted to do but need the ok from their boss. They went over what to expect after it was all said and done. After he walked out of the room leaving us to chew on what was said, my relative says almost in a revelation type state, "What about blood?!?!?!? I don't do no blood!!" So her daughter said she'd address it when the surgeon came back. When I went home later that evening after pulling up at a light I thought to myself just how stupid all of this is. So you're concerned that Jehovah is going to hold it against you if you recieve a blood transfusion, but at the same time He's MIA when you're vomiting orally what should be processed and discharged rectally, but you can't because you've got intestinal cancer? Utterly stupid in recent hindsight.

  On another note, when my aunt relayed to the surgeon their concerns about blood he reassured them stating that he and their surgical team respect their beliefs and wishes and didn't believe there would be major blood loss during the surgery. He also relayed to us that nothing is certain and inquired if plasma would be acceptable which my aunt stated, no. What he said next I found interesting. He stated that in his experience in dealing with JWs, 3 out of every 5 end up accepting a blood transfusion upon knocking at death's gate. I could tell when he was speaking with us that he and the female surgeon accompanying him thought all of us were nuts. He did his best to keep a poker face and did a good job, but you could tell he thinks JWs are crazy.

  bear in mind the money isnt "demanded" by the org, but its framed as a "suggestion" (command) that the money that would have otherwise went to the repair of the home to be forwarded to the society.

  Beat me to it. I was going to say when it comes to money the WT doesn't demand anything, but they do strongly suggest.
